Digital rendering of new ticketing & wayfinding kiosks for a proposed "Circle Line" station at Ashland & Division in Chicago. Interdisciplinary Architecture+Interior Architecture+Designed Objects project.
These Kiosks are designed to inhabit any potential part of the station, from the outdoor/indoor plaza space, to the tunnel that leads underground to the platforms themselves. They are simple, approachable interaction points that can be clustered in any needed configuration.
Project Description
This is a proposal for a redesigned station at the current site of the Division Blue Line station, which would serve as a transfer point for a proposed Circle Line.
Our proposal hinged on the ideas of an adaptable space that would respond to both the daily flow of passengers and the changing amounts of traffic over time, as public transit becomes a larger part of the urban experience in the future.
